About the Artist

Each Sokolov concert is unique in its own way. His technique is utterly peerless, but he rarely adheres to a template for piano virtuosos. He is known for his ability to draw an unusually broad spectrum of colours and sounds from the keys. Sokolov’s interpretations are usually deeply personal. If you’d like to learn more about Sokolov, a good place to start is the article Last of the Titans.
