About the Artist

An Tran is an internationally acclaimed Vietnamese classical guitarist and winner of over 13 international competitions and awards. An has been praised for his “gorgeous playing” and “flawless technique” by the KnoxTNToday and received many accolades for his dynamic artistry including being hailed as a “Vietnamese guitar virtuoso” by Austin Classical Guitar.

Deeply connected to his native country of Vietnam, An is bringing the traditional music of Vietnam to international concert stages. His newest and highly anticipated solo album entitled “Stay, My Beloved” was included in the “Recordings of the Year” by Chicago Tribune and was described by Classical Guitar Magazine as “to make the year-end Top Ten classical guitar albums of the year”.

An Tran is on the faculty of Northern Illinois University and is an exclusive artist of D’Addario.

About the Concert

Our concerts take place in a private home located near the village of Peace Dale. The street address is 103 North Road, Wakefield, Rhode Island 02879.

This performance begins at 3:00 pm. If your schedule permits, plan to arrive one hour before the performance to attend a discussion about the music on the program. After the performance, you’ll have an opportunity to meet the artists and learn more about their background, interests, and activities.


Advance reservations are required. If you’d like to attend this concert, send an email to and tell us who’s coming. If seating is available, we’ll confirm your reservation. If not, we’ll add you to the waiting list. If you have a confirmed reservation and you later decide not to attend, please let us know so others can take your place.

The suggested contribution is $40 per person. If your resources are limited, please contribute whatever you can afford. Contributions are collected at the door. We accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards.

IMPORTANT: As a precaution during this stage of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’d like everyone attending this concert to be fully vaccinated and symptom-free. Masks are optional but recommended, especially for seniors.
