About the Artists

Vocalist and composer Amanda Ekery incorporates a variety of styles in her performances. Her songs are a distinctive combination of traditional, contemporary, and original music. She has performed at the Kennedy Center, Washington Women in Jazz Festival, Blue Room in Kansas City, Blue Note in Amsterdam, and the Portland Jazz Festival. Ms. Ekery was selected for the 2015 Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Residency, an international competition for young jazz composers and performers. She received her bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies with a minor in Music Theory from the University of North Texas, graduating with honors. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the New England Conservatory (NEC) in Jazz Performance.

Jazz pianist Andrew Boudreau is a native of Nova Scotia, Canada. Based in Montreal for several years, he recently relocated to Boston to study at the New England Conservatory of Music. Mr. Boudreau has performed throughout his native Canada, the United States, as well as in France, Switzerland, Norway and Spain with a variety of artists. He is the recipient of an Astral Artist Prize (National Arts Centre, Ottawa), OPUS Prize for Jazz/World Concert of the Year (Quebec) and completed a Bachelor of Music at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University. He also holds an ARCT Diploma (Piano Performance) from the Royal Conservatory of Music and studied at the School for Improvisational Music in New York.
