About the Artist
Pianist Nora Bartosik has performed internationally as a soloist, in chamber ensembles and as a collaborative pianist in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. She was a Piano Fellow at the Tanglewood Music Festival in 2018, where she had the opportunity to work with musicians such as Garrick Ohlsson, Thomas Ades, Yo-Yo Ma and Emmanuel Ax. She has performed in several other international festivals including the Aspen Music Festival and School, the Saoû Chante Mozart Festival in Saoû, France, the Festival des Nuits d’été in Macon, France, the HARMOS Chamber Music Festival in Porto, Portugal and the Max Reger Forum in Bremen.
Ms. Bartosik received her piano training at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the University of Music in Hannover, the University of Music in Leipzig and Harvard College (with the New England Conservatory). She is now on the faculty at the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University, Opus One Music in Manhattan, and the Point CounterPoint summer music festival in Leicester, Vermont. She lives in New York City.
About the Concert
Our concerts take place at a private residence in southern Rhode Island near the villages of Peace Dale and Wakefield. The street address is 103 North Road, South Kingstown RI 02879.
In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, guests are asked to wear masks at all times while inside the venue. The performance space is well-ventilated and there is a large outdoor deck where guests can remove their masks, enjoy a drink, and socialize.
This performance begins at 3:00 pm. If your schedule permits, please join us one hour before of the performance for a discussion about the music on the concert program. After the performance, you’ll have an opportunity to meet the artists and learn more about their background, interests, and activities.
Advance reservations are required. If you’d like to attend this concert, send us an email and tell us the number of seats to reserve. If seating is available, we’ll confirm your reservation. If not, we’ll add you to the waiting list. If you have a confirmed reservation and you later decide not to attend, please let us know so others can take your place.
The suggested contribution is $40 per person. Contributions are collected at the door. We accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards.
