About the Artist

Praised as “a musician of integrity and depth…” (New York Concert Review), Taiwanese pianist Jui-Sheng Li has performed as a soloist and chamber musician across Asia, Europe, and North America. His recordings have been featured at the Rukus Avenue Radio in Los Angeles and the Mythologies contemporary dance in Montréal.

Highlights of his recent engagements include a debut recital at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall and his work as the official pianist at the Asia Pacific Saxophone Competition in Thailand. In the upcoming season, his activities include an album recording project in Germany, a concert tour with violist Ching-Han Lin in Taiwan, and artist-in-residence at La Cité Internationale des Arts in France.

Jui-Sheng holds a Doctor of Music degree from McGill University Schulich School of Music under the guidance of Professors Kyoko Hashimoto and Roe-Min Kok. He now conducts the Global Youth Leaders Orchestra and instructs at Music InsideOut in Toronto. In Winter 2022, he will serve as piano and theory faculty at Grande Prairie Regional College Department of Fine Arts in Alberta.

This performance begins at 2:00 pm. If your schedule permits, please join us one hour before the performance for a discussion about the music on the program. After the performance, you’ll have an opportunity to meet the artists and learn more about their background, interests, and activities.


Reservations

Advance reservations are required. If you’d like to attend this concert, send us an email and tell us who’s coming. If seating is available, we’ll confirm your reservation. If not, we’ll add you to the waiting list. If you have a confirmed reservation and you later decide not to attend, please let us know so others can take your place.

The suggested contribution is $40 per person. If your resources are limited, please contribute whatever you can afford. Contributions are collected at the door. We accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards.
