About the Artist

Indonesian pianist Felisien has made appearances across North America, Europe, and Asia as a soloist, collaborator, and chamber musician. She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the Jakarta Concert Orchestra, Semarang Chamber Orchestra, and Oberlin Sinfonietta, and has made festival appearances including The International Holland Music Sessions Summer Academy in Bergen, Mozarteum International Summer Academy in Salzburg, Chautauqua Institution Music Festival, Gijon International Piano Festival, and Puerto Rico International Music Festival.

Felisien has been an international prize-winner in several competitions, including the International Chopin Piano Competition in Singapore, Music Teachers National Association Young Artists Competition, Chautauqua Piano Competition, Jakarta International Open Piano Competition, and Glenn Miller Scholarship Competition.

Felisien is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at Boston University, and she has previously received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Oberlin Conservatory and New England Conservatory. Major teachers have included Peter Tákacs, Haewon Song, Stephen Drury, and Tanya Gabrielian, and she has had the opportunity to work in masterclasses with distinguished world-class musicians such as Dang Thai Son, William Grant Nabore, Klaus Hellwig, Jon Nakamatsu, and Robert Levin.
